Community Healthcare Network
NYCR-CDE provided $8 million in New Markets Tax Credit financing to help fund the construction and expansion of two new healthcare centers to serve low-income communities in Manhattan and Queens.
The capital enabled Community Healthcare Network to relocate one of its Federally Qualified Health Centers on the Lower East Side to a new state-of-the-art facility and to acquire the building and update its existing health center in Long Island City. The two new and improved health centers allowed the non-profit to provide quality healthcare to approximately 38,000 unique patients annually, 87% of who are low-income.
Community Healthcare Network (CHN) is the largest network of community health centers in New York City that provides quality and affordable healthcare services to all. The non-profit provides more than 80,000 New Yorkers annually with primary and behavioral healthcare, dental, nutrition, wellness, and needed support services. CHN is made up of 14 Federally Qualified Health Centers throughout Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx along with a fleet of mobile vans that bring health services to underserved people in need. CHN provides judgment-free, high-quality healthcare, without regard to race, religion, orientation, gender identity, immigration status or ability to pay. No one is turned away.
"CHN is committed to serving those most in need"
